Position Summary

Discovery Internship Programme

Location: West London

The Discovery Internship Programme is a 12 week paid learning experience in which postgraduate or current university students gain valuable industry knowledge and skills through hands on training, work shadowing, project management and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

The  2011 Discovery Summer Internship Programme runs between June and September and is based at Discovery House, West London.

This programme will offer an insight into working for a dynamic, fast paced international organization.

In an internship at Discovery Networks Europe you’ll be exposed to all areas of the business through a solid foundation of training and work experience. Discovery is proud to provide interns with an opportunity to gain an understanding of our mission, values, departments, employees, culture and commitment to quality programming, products and services.

We offer internships in the below areas:

* Marketing

* Finance

* Human Resources - Learning and Development

*Human Resources - Recruitment

*Human Resources - Lifeworks and Diversity

* Distribution Engineering

Requirements

We are looking for a confident self-starter who is keen to gain exposure into working in a busy, fast paced organisation. You will be able to balance a range of different tasks simultaneously and will bring excellent communication skills, delivering a professional service at all times. You will be able to demonstrate outstanding organisational skills and the ability to remain accurate whilst under pressure.

The paid internship programme is targeted for current university students or upcoming graduates.
