Discovery Creative Sydney is the multi-award-winning in-house agency creating brand identities, on-air promotions, advertising, branded content and communications for consumer, trade and corporate use across a range of media - principally TV and digital – for Discovery’s Australia and New Zealand portfolio.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Head of Design is responsible
for translating design briefs into powerfully effective design solutions on time, budget and brief, for all On-Air Marketing and Creative projects – from promo graphics to channel identities; choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the brand and channel objectives. They will achieve this by developing and executing creative ideas and concepts.
As Head of Design, you will be responsible for the visual identity of our linear channel including its creation, maintenance, evolution, application and distribution to internal and external parties as required –including the maintenance of an up-to-date and accessible style-guide for all media (in collaboration with the UK team). This will involve working closely with the Creative Director to ensure brands are in alignment with network and creative strategy.
The Design Lead must be able to generate holistic creative solutions that work across multiple platforms and media – to include brand identity/activation, TV, digital, social, print and PR activities; as well as commercial / brand partnerships, short and long-form content.
