    About Discovery Golf:

    Discovery Golf is a new global venture from Discovery that will bring coverage from the best professional golf events to fans around the world. Discovery Golf is creating a new, innovative digital platform to deliver live content and special features that will change the way golf coverage is enjoyed.

     

    General Summary:

    This role will serve as the interface between the central Discovery Golf team and the regional Discovery teams distributed in key markets. The Project Manager will help to communicate the goals and objectives of Discovery Golf to the local teams focused on media distribution, marketing, partnerships, ad sales, and account management. Additionally, the individual will identify emerging opportunities in market and communicate those back to the central Discovery Golf teams in London and New York. This role is multidisciplinary and will involve elements of marketing, ad sales, sponsorships, media distribution, and partnership management.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage project roadmap for one or more areas, getting internal consensus and incorporating feedback from a range of sources to ensure the right features are delivered at the right time.
    • Work with Product Owners and Leadership to ensure best-in-class delivery.
    • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality products as perceived by the end user, measured against satisfaction metrics.
    • Prioritise and effectively manage development time to maximize return on investment.
    • Ensure complex business needs are documented and reflected in product roadmaps and in the resulting products.
    • Continually assess trends, competitive landscape and customer behaviour to inform your backlog and the overall direction of mobile.
    • Provide strong team leadership.
    • Work successfully within a milestone-driven environment, utilising standardised product development processes.
    • Contribute to on-time, on-budget delivery of products.
    • Interface with international stakeholders

    Requirements

    • Experience in managing and/or coordinating cross-functional teams
    • Excellent written and oral communication. Able to write and present to non-digitally savvy audiences.
    • Help drive best practice across the business
    • Excellent decision making and judgment.
    • Strong stakeholder management.
    • Able to apply sound judgment to make decisions in line overall development strategy and process.
    • Fast thinker and problem solver
    • Technically savvy, ideally with technical background but not a “must have” requirement for the role
    • Need to be able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audience
    • Related previous experience working with internal team of developers and stakeholders
