  • Position Summary

    The Listings department is an essential function within a broadcasting business, providing accurate programme information to affiliate partners and the media on a weekly basis.

    The core responsibility of the role is to work as part of a team, researching and writing monthly programme highlights and billings for the UK, Nordics, and EMEA channel feeds.  The Listings Editor, Listings Assistant and Listings Manager write and research billings, and create and issue schedule change amendments and press listings, for the UK networks. 

    The team works in close collaboration with other departments across the business including scheduling, programming, production, PR, picture desk and digital.

    Responsibilities

    • Write and edit billings for all Discovery’s channels and feeds
    • Create press listings and issue schedule amendments for the UK network
    • Deal with general queries from UK press, EPG providers, external listings agencies, and local offices across regions
    • Source programme information to update generic billings after TX; updating data in IBMS and communicate changes to UK press and platforms
    • Distribute EPG Updates
    • Deal with SKY feedback forms and episodic amendment checks
    • Create show names in IBMS
    • Amend title changes in IBMS and communicate to UK press
    • Create UK VOD metadata

    Requirements

    • Degree in English communications, media studies or equivalent
    • Confident, articulate, organised and a motivated self-starter, with a passion for marketing communications, publicity, media and television
    • Good written and communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills – word, excel, outlook. Photoshop experience would be beneficial.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines
    • Ability to be responsive and reactive when required
    • Able to handle multiple tasks at once
    • Creative approach to their work and the ability to remain calm under pressure
