    Media Planning is responsible for strategically and operationally planning, coordinating and evaluating all on-air promotional activity on the Passion Brand channels. Using Media Planning, marketing and advertising best practice the Media Planner will help their Executive Media Planner and Media Planning Manager create and implement promotional campaign strategies to fulfill departmental business objectives. The Media Planner will be the main point of contact for the Schedulers and will be required to review each day’s schedules for strategic fit prior to transmission.


    • Work with Executive Media Planner and Media Planning Manager to develop long term promotional strategies that optimize channels promotional airtime.
    • Create, keep updated and regularly distribute monthly promotional plans that include communication targets and production information for each campaign. Working alongside the monthly trails promotions plan, create a monthly continuity plan.
    • Monitor and report back on campaign delivery against the planned communication targets.
    • Input promo details into the on-air scheduling system (IBMS) to make sure that the correct on-air items are available for the presentation schedulers to place.
    • Ensure that the scheduling team is fully briefed each week regarding all aspects of that weeks promotional plan.
    • Complete a daily review of that evenings promotional schedule for strategic fit each day’s promotional schedule prior to tx – daily phone call with relevant presentation schedulers.
    • Manage any issues that arise in the transmission of the schedulers.
    • Work with the Production Team to make sure promotional elements are correct, editorially sound and delivered on time.
    • Be a point of contact to manage any issues that arise in the transmission of the schedules e.g. promos being incorrectly tagged, DVE squeezes not running correctly etc
    • Create promo and continuity makelists in IBMS
    • Check schedule changes against existing makelists
    • Amend makelists in IBMS
    • Deputize for other members of the Media Planning team when necessary.


    • Education - degree level or equivalent.
    • Computer literate with spreadsheet experience.
    • Highly numerate with experience of handling and interpreting quantitative research data
    • Familiarity with television audience planning and evaluating systems.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work well under constant time pressure of rolling broadcast deadlines
    • Ability to work with others and to follow the instructions
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Fluent in English
