    Position Title:             Media Planner

    Reports to:                  Media Planning Manager, Warsaw

     

    General Summary:

     

    Media Planning is responsible for strategically and operationally planning, coordinating and evaluating all on-air promotional activity on our portfolio of pay TV channels. Using media planning, marketing and advertising best practice the Media Planner will work with the Media Planning Manager to create and implement promotional campaign strategies to fulfill departmental business objectives. The Media Planner will be the main point of contact for the Schedulers and will be required to review each day’s schedules for strategic

    fit prior to transmission.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Media Planning Manager to plan and implement on air campaigns, optimizing the available airtime inventory
    • Create, keep updated and regularly distribute monthly promotional plans along with supporting continuity and navigation plans
    • Ensure that the scheduling team is fully briefed each week regarding all aspects of that weeks promotional plan.
    • Be main point of contact to manage any issues that arise in the transmission of the schedules.
    • Work with the Production Team to make sure promotional elements are correct, editorially sound and delivered on time.
    • Create promo and continuity makelists in IBMS, ensuring details are entered accurately and the correct material is available at a given time, also making amendments where needed.
    • Check schedule changes against planned campaigns
    • Deputize for other members of the Media Planning team when necessary.

    Requirements

    • Computer literate and highly numerate with spreadsheet experience.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work well under constant time pressure of rolling broadcast deadlines
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Fluent in English
    • Experience working in a channel team or broadcast environment is desirable but not essential
    • Experience with on air optimisers is desirable but not essential
    • Experience with Techedge is desirable but not essential
