  • Position Summary

    Responsible for creation, oversight and maintenance of content effectiveness reports, and provide support to Head of Consumer Insights in formulating research strategies for content analysis. Perform ‘deep dive’ investigations into Discovery Inc. channel performance with both external and internal data. Assist and participate in the development and implementation of new consumer insights studies using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining regional normative databases to assist with performance forecasting and content benchmarks.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and management of multi-country quantitative and qualitative studies including questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis, reporting 
    • Integrate data from ratings, syndicated and custom studies to develop recommendations for commercial, product and marketing teams in the region
    • Create, oversee and maintain all proprietary databases and external analysis tools
    • Create in-depth research reports through hands-on data query and analysis of complex syndicated databases
    • Train regional and in house research analysts and interns on research tools and software as well as on the job training.
    • Maintain department’s budget tracker ensure projects go through the proper legal and compliance processes

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum of 5 years’ research experience in a regional TV organization or a major research company/media specialist firm
    • Passion for TV and an ambition to understand the opportunities provided by the new digital landscape
    • Strong knowledge of the full breadth of broadcast and online research tools including AdvantEdge, Infosys, TAM panels, Google Analytics, Brand Trackers and Brand Communities.
    • Strong quantitative, data tabulation and analytic skills required as well as effective organizational skills providing the ability to multi-task and meet all deadlines assigned
    • Effective storytelling skills with the ability to distill the meaningful business takeaways from data
    • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, formulas, charts, graphs)
    • Excellent Powerpoint skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form
    • Strong project management skills, with an ability to plan and prioritize. Must be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously and under tight schedules
    • Accurate and good attention to details
    • Flexibility in approach
    • Self motivated and good team player
