  • Position Summary



    The purpose of this role is to plan and prepare the daily presentation schedule for assigned networks in conjunction, and coordinating, with the Programming, On Air Promotion, Sales and Media Planning departments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance and delivery according to the proscribed deadlines. The schedulers form part of a team working directly under the Broadcast Schedule Operations Manager.


    • Creation and finalization of the daily transmission schedule, ensuring accuracy and efficiency whilst remaining reactive to the business.
    • Liaising with the Media Planner to ensure smooth hand over of prepped schedules ready for promo placement.
    • Identify issues and work with relevant departments to find solutions ensuring all elements air successfully and fulfill TECOM requirements.
    • To fully understand break patterns and templates and ensure they are checked and loaded into the system and that all final commercial loads or amendments are actioned.
    • Organization and regular revision of presentation templates.
    • Liaise with the Media Asset Management team and Regional Sales teams checking all media items are present or accounted for prior to download of schedules to transmission.
    • Perform necessary checks to the presentation schedule.
    • Liaise with Transmission team in Samacom , confirming correct playlist versions have been received and necessary changes to ‘on-air’ have taken place.
    • Perform daily presentation schedule reconciliation and provide any reports, including discrepancy reports as required by the Supervisor/Manager.
    • Attending meetings and building strong relationships with key contacts in the UK and regional offices.
    • Cross training within the team thus providing sickness and holiday cover where necessary.
    • Any other presentation scheduling tasks required and assigned by the Supervisor that are appropriate and in line with the position.
    • To process the booking orders received from the Media rep. Ensure the booking orders received are as per the company policy and procedures and obtain manager approval.
    • Issuing written directives to the operations department for the use of commercial materials received from the agencies / clients after verifying all details mentioned in the booking orders.
    • Co-ordinating with the operations / production departments with regards to the special benefits for sponsorship campaigns.
    • Co-ordinating with the planning / scheduling departments with regards to the airing time of some sponsored shows.
    • Co-ordinating and follow up with media reps to arrange the material delivery before the start of any campaign.
    • Preparing the media plans for all the direct clients and ensure client receive post campaign reports
    • Ensuring that the invoices have been sent to all the direct clients.
    • Sharing with the media rep TV Schedule / Grid changes from time to time for all the 3 channels (Fatafeat, DSC & TLC).
    • Co-ordinating when required with the Poland office for the DSC and TLC channel campaigns.
    • Scrutinizing the Flash report received from the Poland office and updating the budget tracker with the latest figures from the Flash report.
    • Co-ordinating with the operations department to ensure that all the spots booked are being aired according to the media plan.
    • Maintaining & updating the budget tracker with regards to the media and money for each booking processed.
    • Generating weekly, monthly and periodic reports for higher management review.
    • Updating various reports on a weekly and bi-weekly basis like the MENA Weekly Ad Sales report, the MIS and PS Media Bi-weekly report, the Budget Tracker and any other ad hoc report.
    • Preparing the monthly sales / invoice report for the Finance department. Updating the client data report on a quarterly basis.


    • Coordinators will ideally have two or more years’ experience in a presentation/promotion scheduling, traffic or a related role. However, candidates with an exceptional attitude may also be considered with less experience, to take on in an entry level position.
    • Computer literate with prior experience working with IBMS or similar scheduling systems.
    • Communication skills are a must.
    • Great attention to detail and able to work to deadlines efficiently even in pressurized situations.
    • Ability to work with others and to follow instructions.
    • Operational experience and/or Language skills are an advantage
    • Smart, punctual, accurate, available anytime and very focused and very professional on Microsoft Excel.



    • Delivery of the daily transmission schedules, within deadlines and with a 99.999% accuracy rating and all checks completed.
    • To be able to independently resolve basic scheduling issues and commercial load errors.
    • To have a broad understanding of the regional aspects of the feed and Channel priorities
    • Successfully working with others in the organization as part of the team to ensure all schedules for your channel/s are delivered in a timely manner.
    • Working with other departments to ensure all matters relating to the creation of the daily presentation schedule and associated work processes are followed and any issues fed back as required.
    • To become proficient in the presentation scheduling functions for other channels within the team to provide sickness/holiday cover as and when required.
