    The Commercial executive will have the responsibility for linear and non-linear sales to affiliates for part of the CEEMCA region (Bulgaria, Hungary, Albania, Bosnia & Herzigovina, Czech, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, etc. ). The Commercial Executive will be in charge of increasing the distribution of Discovery’s portfolio in a rapid and profitable way, while maintaining close relationship with affiliates. Will report and partner on major deals with one of the CEEMCA Distribution Sr Manager.


    • Implements local strategy
    • Contributes to strategy development, providing market feedback
    • Applies understanding of market, strategy, brand, products and clients to make deals
    • Maintains and develops Distribution client relationships
    • Oversees the entire deal process from market research to sales pitch, negotiation, signature, launch and ongoing support
    • Works with the assigned CEEMCA Distribution Sr Manager to develop distribution growth opportunities and acts quickly to secure their execution
    • Analyses sales data and tracks performance

    Manage Clients


    • Drives the implementation of the strategy
    • Understands the markets and trends and assesses market opportunities, providing feedback to CEEMCA Distribution Sr manager to influence strategy development
    • Sets revenue budgets and business initiatives that require a creative approach in an uncertain business landscape
    • Takes personal ownership for delivery of targets and revenue, putting in what it takes and searching opportunities

    Manage Deals

    • Has the mindset and confidence to make calculated decisions and operate in the management space
    • Has successfully transitioned to a more commercial role with a professional network of clients
    • Manages key clients, regulatory bodies, relationships with cable associations and potential strategic partners – building the image of Discovery and its brand across the region
    • Actively makes self known in the market and the respect is evident

    • Proactively finds new business, new clients and leverages existing assets
    • Has a client centered approach: consults, listens and develops convincing proposals
    • Manages the pipeline of business, actively analysing and responding to the conditions
    • Liaises with internal departments to ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled efficiently and completely; including close co-operation with Legal, Marketing and Channel teams to ensure great support for clients
