Position Summary


The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for formulating, planning and executing all marketing and communications strategies in the ( Central Eastern Europe Mediterranean & Central Asia) CEEMCA region. The position has direct reports  and is responsible for driving the business forward from a marketing and communication point of view and for leading the team in the execution of the strategy.


  • Formulating, planning and implement an integrated marcomms strategy for the channel portfolio
  • Plan and execute all aspects of the marcomms strategy Take ownership of the marketing plans for the region, both in regards to the consumer strategy and the business strategy (B2B and B2B2C)
  • Maximize return on marketing investment to ensure effectiveness
  • Ensure the department works in an integrated way with the CEEMCA and EMEA teams
  • Support the development of new channel or product launches through markcomms strategy
  • Develop and improve ROI measurements for all marketing activities in cooperation with HCD (Head of Commercial Development), Heads of Ad Sales, to guarantee all activities are guided by effectiveness and efficiency considerations
  • Encourage and support developing the creative language of each channel brand, and making sure the various channel brands come alive in their own unique way
  • Work closely together with the On Air Creative Manager to align the on air and off air communication in a way that would help grow the channels and the brands
  • Lead the marketing and communication team and help them deliver in a harmonious, innovative and structured way on the strategy agreed by the Channel Director and Country Manager
  • Develops, maintains and manages relationships across regions to ensure the best exchange of ideas and information and, ultimately, help deliver better results for the CEE business
  • Actively look for opportunities to further integrate all marketing activities of the channel portfolio with activities in the EMEA, DNI and DCI network such as sharing of material, supporting the exchange of information
  • Take ownership of the marketing and communication budget


  • At least 5+ years marketing and communication experience for a major international corporation, including at least 3 years in senior position, managing teams and managing managers. Multi-territory experience is a plus
  • Good business and financial expertise, as demonstrated by a focus on deliverables, economies of scale and ROI
  • Ability to manage, coach and inspire a team with  current direct reports, and several external agencies. The role also requires operating in an international matrix system
  • Strong affinity with branding and brand development
  • Problem solving mindset, with an ability to manage and executive creative solutions, taking advantage of the resources in a global company
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English. Czech and/or Slovakian and/or Hungarian a plus




  • The role operates within a dynamic growth environment. The business consists of currently 15 channels, in 13 countries, within the matrix of a global company
  • The role requires significant leadership to inspire the creative and marketing communities to take factual, sports and lifestyle brands into a new direction.
  • Ability to be strategic and analytical in the creation of an integrated marketing strategy
  • Ability to effectively work with key stakeholders for the mutual benefit of the business
