Discovery Networks International are exciting to be recruiting a NEW role within the growing Digital Ad Sales team. The Digital Sales Manager (Media Sales) will report to the Digital Sales Director, and will have responsibility for maximising revenue through direct and programmatic channels across Discovery and Eurosport digital platforms.
The successful candidate will take ownership for a portfolio of agencies and clients. The Digital Sales Manager (Media Sales) will be involved in defining strategy and approach across key business areas to deliver maximum display and video revenues to Discovery. As well as direct sales, the role will have a focus on programmatic monetisation. The Digital Sales Manager will act as a key partner between Discovery Networks International/Eurosport and trading desks / programmatic agencies as well as between sales and ad operations.
The role will encompass a pan-European inventory sell and some involvement in local digital markets. Beyond ads, the role will also encompass an amount of social inventory sales. We have partnerships with YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Snap that require sales understanding and effort at different times.
The ideal candidate will have a background working within digital advertising and programmatic: Ad Sales, Ad Tech or Ad Operations, with experience including but not limited to digital sales, SSPs/DSPs, digital ad servers and analytics/reporting systems.
The position will initially be focused on display and short-form video inventory, requiring a solid understanding of sales, agencies, marketplace, and technologies. Over time the role will evolve to incorporate OTT video sales (Player, CTV etc).
