Position Summary

The HR Advisor is responsible for:

  • Providing proactive operational day-to-day support to the HR Manager and line managers within their designated business area(s).
  • Support managers through all elements of the HR lifecycle using pragmatic HR solutions, which are up-to-date, fit for purpose, commercial and legally compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Personnel administration including maintenance of HR Support system (SAP) including accurate and up-to-date headcount management and reporting, working with other HRAs across the region to ensure accurate pan-regional reporting
  • Work with the business to support the delivery of key corporate initiatives and annual processes e.g: Global Performance Management Process, Organizational Talent Review, Employee Survey etc.
  • Provide robust and pragmatic HR advice to line managers
  • Build strong relationships with Employees, employee reps and Union reps to enhance Employee relations and support change activities in a pragmatic way balancing the needs of employees and delivering business objectives
  • Work closely with the HR Manager to answer employee requests, resolve performance, absence, and disciplinary issues as necessary
  • Work closely with all Specialist areas to provide seamless HR support and advice to the business as necessary including: Employment Legal, Talent & Resourcing, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits
  • Actively participate in HR projects and Corporate HR initiatives as necessary

Requirements

  • Good understanding of HR processes and life cycle
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build lasting relationships and have a genuine interest and curiosity about the business
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and work under pressure
  • Able to work autonomously with a drive to achieve results
  • Good knowledge of Norwegian employment law
  • Good understanding of basic administrative/payroll duties and processes
  • Master Degree, with specialization in Human Resources desirable
  • Operational HR experience preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
