Position Summary

The Eurosport Group is today the leading multimedia platform in Europe with Eurosport, Eurosport 2,, Eurosportnews and Eurosport Mobile. Eurosport, the leading European channel is available in 20 different languages and reaches 110 million homes and 240 million viewers across 59 countries. Eurosport 2, the new sports channel launched in 2005, is already transmitted to 22.3 million households in 9 languages across 40 different countries. Eurosport’s seven .com sites include four co-branded  sites with Yahoo! as well as with a total of up to 20 million visits per month across all sites. Eurosportnews provides up-to-date worldwide sports news and is transmitted worldwide. Eurosport Mobile offers Live streaming as well as WAP & I-Mod services providing all the latest sports news and Live results.



The Production Executive is responsible for all aspects of logistics on certain events. This will cover both internal & on-site production activities, including budgets. Working closely with the Head of Production, and Production Management team you will ensure that all aspects of production are delivered on time and on budget.


The position is based in our Feltham production office, and may require work outside of normal office hours as well as occasional domestic or international travel.


The role will cover 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day to include weekend work when required. 


Reporting to the Senior Director of Production and Broadcast, this role is a 12 month maternity cover and the main duties would involve:


  • Managing day to day production logistics for various sports from beginning to end planning and scheduling; booking crew, and communicating schedules or updates
  • Production Management of programmes ensuring programmes are produced efficiently and on budget and adhere to compliance and H&S guidelines. Analysis of risk.
  • Responsible for production insurance, risk assessments, supplier negotiations, footage clearances and contractual issues connected with supplier agreements, federations, other broadcasters etc.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with all staff, freelancers, key suppliers and rights holders ensuring that any potential issues are highlighted at the earliest opportunity
  • Management of production budgets & cost reports on specific events improving cost efficiency (tenders, resources, crew, talent etc.)   Responsible for financial management on key events.
  • Research and put forward new technological innovations that relate to production efficiency
  • Ensuring all post production follow-up: purchase orders are raised to ensure payment of fees; implementing changes or improvements; debrief with crew and on-site teams.
  • Together with the Head of Production and Production Management team: upholding the company’s on-screen and editorial vision; acting as a main point of contact for specific event production related queries both internally and externally.
  • Advise and Manage some aspects of Production for other Discovery channels; Quest  
  • Work closely with the Head of Production, Senior Director and Finance Director to present new project ideas and to help grow ratings and revenue
  • Understanding of all building facilities and support with new projects outside of the main Production
  • Any other ad-hoc duties the company may reasonably require from time to time.



  • An articulate and clear communicator, you are able to demonstrable initiative and work without supervision.
  • You have good literacy and numeracy skills, and previous experience working with budgets.
  • Your excellent organization skills and interpersonal skills enable you to prioritize your workload with ease, and your flexible can-do attitude make you a willing team player.
  • You can demonstrate a good eye for detail and are able to think on your feet to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • You have several years experience in Production Management working on live, Domestic and International OB’s and studio programming
  • You have Experience of booking satellite feeds, ISDNs & putting tenders together for OB suppliers.
  • You have experience in negotiating deals and contracts with suppliers and freelancers
  • Knowledge of the UK broadcast industry and a vast range of contacts; Suppliers, freelancers and OB Industry
  • Extensive knowledge of production paperwork, archive clearance, filming permits, contracts, insurance, risk assessments and Health and Safety
  • Experience of dealing with UK broadcasters and/or external third parties.
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines and multi-task across numerous sporting events
