Position Summary

Eurosport Digital is recruiting for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to join its Eurosport Player team. Eurosport Player (ES Player) is an OTT platform that gives customers access to linear and non-linear sports content such as Tour de France, Bundesliga and MotoGP. ES Player is available across Europe.


The successful applicant will manage media campaigns for major sports events across Paid, Owned and Earned digital marketing channels, and manage and collaborate with media and creative agencies. In doing so they will target a set of KPIs including customer acquisitions, subscriber acquisition costs, and traffic by channel. Initially the Acquisition Marketing Manager will focus on campaigns in ES Player’s main markets, France, Germany, the UK and Norway, although they may focus on a single country over time.


The Senior Performance Marketing Manager will work within a broader marketing team with brand, event and retention marketing roles. The successful applicant will have to coordinate closely with these different roles. They will also have to adopt and cultivate an agile “test and learn” mindset in which all parts of the marketing team work together to continuously improve campaign performance.


  • Deliver high-impact multi-channel acquisition campaigns across Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic Display, Retargeting.


  • Collaborate with external agency partners to ensure the successful planning, implementation and optimization of above mentioned Paid media channels and campaigns.


  • Define campaign strategies including audience segmentation and target group sizing, high-level messaging based on product positioning, high-level media plan in conjunction with agencies, and target KPIs to measure performance.


  • Report to management and improve campaign performance by leveraging agile marketing practices to continuously analyze and optimize media performance and user experience that drives conversion rate optimization and overall business improvement.


  • Strong previous experience in digital performance marketing for a consumer-facing organization, ideally with exposure to subscriber acquisition business models.


  • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing channels, in particular Paid Search, Social, Display and Affiliate.


  • Understanding of the marketing technology landscape and how to leverage adtech and martech capabilities for campaign delivery and analytics.


  • Demonstrable experience of running successful digital marketing campaigns and rapidly optimizing the performance of these campaigns over time within budget.


  • Experience of managing agencies and internal teams across multiple countries, and an aptitude for working in an agile “test and learn” environment.


  • Highly analytical, capable of aggregating and analyzing campaign KPIs and translating analysis into action to further boost performance.


  • Fluent English in both written and verbal forms, other European language are a bonus but not required for this particular role.
