Position Summary

Eurosport Digital are excited to be recruiting the new opportunity of CRM Data Analyst. This is a completely new role within the Marketing team reporting to the CRM and Retention Director. The successful candidate will work within a broader marketing team in an agile “test and learn” mindset in which the brand, events and acquisition teams work together to continuously improve marketing performance. The CRM Data Analyst will be immersed in customer data and tasked with analyzing customer behavior and the impact of our CRM campaigns to provide insight that will shape future marketing strategy and activity.


In order to help drive this growth, Eurosport has an exciting opportunity for an insightful and numbers driven CRM Data Analyst to join its Eurosport Player team. Eurosport Player is a new OTT platform that gives customers access to linear and non-linear content for some of the world’s best loved sports including Tour de France, Bundesliga and MotoGP.


Campaigns are currently delivered via email and online retargeting, and soon push notifications, but will potentially be expanding out to other channels as appropriate. These campaigns will run across the entire customer lifecycle in all of ES Players’ markets, with special focus on: Germany, Italy, the UK, France and Norway.

  • Driven by customer data and insight, identify the appropriate data and segmentation strategies to retain and win-back customers via highly engaging and targeted lifecycle communications.
  • Analyse CRM campaign results on an ongoing basis for ad hoc/bespoke and automated/trigger CRM programmes designed to improve retention. Understand the impact they are having on customer behaviour and constantly looking for learnings to apply to new strategies and plans.
  • Collaborating closely with our Data & Analytics & Data Science team, analyse customer behaviour and develop new predictive models to increase the effectiveness of our marketing and improve customer retention.
  • Provide data targeting expertise and campaign analysis for the in-life & engagement and retention & winback managers and our external agency.
  • Constantly monitor campaign results and immediately adapt recommendations based on new learnings.
  • Present annual and quarterly data strategy and plans to the Retention & CRM Director and Senior Director, Customer Marketing.
  • Create benchmarks, track performance against these and develop reports/dashboards for business stakeholders across all activity to ensure activities overachieve against KPIs.
  • Manage Vendor relationships as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of email marketing trends, best practices, technologies, ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Champion best in class data analysis tools and techniques


  • CRM analysis in a consumer-facing service organisation, ideally with exposure to subscriber business models.
  • Good understanding of databases and experience working with large data sets.
  • Performance obsessed, detail oriented, deadline driven.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced data analysis techniques that include customer segmentation, predictive modelling, multivariate analysis, querying and reporting tools, A/B testing and statistical significance.
  • Ability to think clearly and calmly when faced with issues or conflicting priorities.
  • Advance user of Excel and PowerPoint, SQL skills.
  • Experience in proactively managing vendor relationships and internal teams across multiple countries, and an aptitude for working in an agile “test and learn” environment.
  • Fluent English in both written and verbal forms, other European language are a bonus but not required for this particular role.
  • A passion for sports content and working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with like-minded individuals.
