Core to Eurosport’s strategy for engaging our Sports audience is creating authentic, intuitive, and delightful digital products. This role is key to delivering against our strategy.


As Web Ops Specialist you will sit in the ES Digital team and will lead the efforts on optimising conversion rates across customer journeys for Eurosport Player in different markets across Europe.


This role reports into the VP Marketing, and will work closely with the wider marketing team as well as product, development, editorial, advertising.


  • Own, drive and facilitate the creation and improvement of all digital experiences, with a view to optimize conversion across each step of the various prospect / customer journeys across Europe.
  • Develop a clear vision in terms of web merchandising, ensuring getting the basics right first time across the websites and utilise key triggers to further drive conversion.
  • Use on-site analytics and make recommendations for product placements on the websites and feedback performance analysis if required.
  • Work closely with product and development teams to manage the tactical prioritization of digital enhancements and execution.
  • Develop and distribute frequent analytics reporting to include customer feedback, and overall KPI metrics and make recommendations on enhancements to leadership based on findings.
  • Manage, review and prepare weekly and monthly reports to evaluate production, profitability and growth opportunities.
  • Support usability testing for internal platforms, web, mobile apps and other digital platforms.
  • Coordinate compliance with the Legal, acting as the central contact point for questions regarding our online program.




  • Degree level or above ideally in marketing
  • Passion for all forms of Sports entertainment, digital distribution and the implementation of new business / digital models.
  • Strong previous experience in leading online optimisation strategies ideally at a subscription service / e-commerce environment.
  • Experience in online marketing channels such as AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, SEO, ASO, PPC, influencer marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel and other tools such as Tableau, MixPanel, Google Analytics.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to assess processes and implement change to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Extensive familiarity with using customer segmentation and data, test, target and measure marketing campaigns and advanced, innovative digital strategies.
  • Acts to surpass goals, seizing opportunities to push the envelope.
  • Translates business goals into a well-defined performance plan and communicates link between current activities and goals.
  • Spends times identifying all stakeholders necessary and connects with all of them, to shape a collective buy-in and further push the marketing agenda.
  • Identifies opportunities to build relationships that will help others achieve their objectives and reaches out to those people.


Key Relationships

The role will be an integral member of the Marketing as well as the wider ES Digital team and be responsible for leading the work to drive online optimisation and growing conversion rates across our websites.


Other Key Relationships

Work with marketing, regional commercial, product, PR, finance, legal, operations and agencies to ensure marketing and commercial plans are communicated and executed as well as to drive awareness of the results across the wider business.
