Reporting to Distribution Director, the position is responsible for delivering Distribution Sales revenue targets (Discovery & Eurosport) and developing new distribution business across its remit in CEE. Will report and partner on major deals with key clients with Distribution Director and increasing the distribution revenues in a rapid and profitable way with clients while maintaining close relationship.

 

The positon will be responsible to work closely with Distribution Director to plan, strategize, develop and implement new business opportunities in the territories.

Responsibilities

Distribution Sales:

  • Implements strategy regarding SMEs & contributes to strategy development for VIP affiliates
  • Contributes to new business development in their remit
  • Applies understanding of markets, strategy, brand, products and clients to make deals
  • Maintains and develops close relationship with affiliates whilst managing all technical and administrative aspects under the remit of the role
  • Achievement of all aspects of the Distribution Plan KPIs in the remit
  • Works with Distribution Director to develop distribution growth opportunities and acts quickly to secure their execution
  • Analyses sales data and tracks performance
  • To be fully conversant with customer performance, proactively identifying issues and opportunities and taking action to address
  • To be fully conversant with competitor structure and approach, highlighting and acting upon areas of weakness and strength
  • To ensure all internal and external communications present and mirror the Discovery image and brand and Distribution Team in CEE.

 

Manage Deals & Clients:

  • Drives the implementation of the strategy regarding all SMEs
  • Understands the markets and trends and assesses market opportunities, providing feedback to Distribution Director to influence strategy development
  • Has the mindset and confidence to make calculated decisions
  • Manages key clients, regulatory bodies, relationships with associations and potential strategic partners – building the image of Discovery and its brands across the region
  • Actively makes self-known in the markets and the respect is evident
  • Takes accountability for all clients in the remit
  • Proactively finds new business, new clients and leverages existing assets
  • Has a client centered approach: consults, listens and develops convincing proposals
  • Manages the pipeline of business, actively analyzing and responding to the conditions
  • Liaises with internal departments to ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled efficiently and completely; including close co-operation with Legal, Marketing and Channel teams to ensure great support for clients
